Background:

The general presumption is we should get our nutrients from organically grown, locally picked and in its ripened state. Anyone who has plucked tree-ripened oranges from an orange or lemon tree would certainly agree with this as an ideal choice for Vitamin C. There are phytonutrients and enzyme that fully support the function and benefits of Vitamin C. And here’s the real deal:

  • Are our fruits grown locally, or picked, delivered and eaten fresh? Maybe for a few weeks of the year at best. We know that only about 7.3% of the population even come close to Dietary Recommendation of fresh fruit and vegetables.
  • When challenged with endemic or epidemic immune events that occur more frequently in modern times, would you be willing and able to eat 6+ oranges 3 timer per day to dose your Vitamin C?
  • At 14+ gm of Sugar per orange, could your lifestyle support more than 252 gm of Sugar those oranges would provide?
  • Modern challenges require creative solutions. Since we don’t live stress-free in the Garden of Eden, what can be done to create the best, more natural solution? Our Whole Food Vitamin C is an efficacious dose of Vitamin C with the added benefits of Phytonutrients and Enzymes found in the natural food form.

Features:

  • Non GMO and VEGAN Certified.
  • 500 mg Vitamin C per serving (from acerola extract, as ascorbic acid, and from whole food complex blend).
  • 900 mg Whole Food Complex Blend.
  • 60 mg Probiotic and Enzyme Blend.
  • (Acid Stable Protease, Protease, Amylase, Bromelain, Cellulase, Glucoamylase, Papain, Lactobacillus Plantarum (500 million CFU‡), Lactobacillus bulgaricus, Streptococcus thermophilus, Saccharomyces cerevisiae).
  • Free of major food allergens, Contains NO: dairy, wheat, gluten, eggs, peanuts, soy, tree nuts, fish, shellfish, preservatives, artificial colors or flavors.
  • Whole Food, Simple and Clean Excipients.

Wholefood Vitamin C delivers 500mg of vitamin C from natural food sources—acerola cherry extract, whole food complex blend, and ascorbic acid—combined with 900mg of organic fruit and vegetable complex providing synergistic phytonutrients, bioflavonoids (hesperidin), rose hips, and rutin for enhanced antioxidant protection and immune support. Unlike isolated synthetic vitamin C, this formula includes 23 powdered organically grown fruits and vegetables that supply supporting antioxidants, vitamins, and nutrient cofactors the way nature intended, plus a 60mg probiotic and enzyme blend (500 million CFU) with acid-stable protease, bromelain, papain, and beneficial bacteria to support healthy digestion and innate immunity—providing comprehensive whole food nutrition without the 252 grams of sugar you'd get from eating 18 oranges daily.

Recommended Use:

For Daily Immune Support: Take 1-2 capsules daily with food.

For Acute Immune Support (during illness or high stress): Take 2 capsules 2-3 times daily with food (up to 6 capsules daily) until symptoms resolve or stress period passes.

Usage Guidelines:

  • With Food: Take with meals to enhance absorption and minimize potential digestive discomfort
  • Divide Doses: For higher doses, split throughout the day (morning, afternoon, evening) for sustained vitamin C levels
  • Hydration: Drink plenty of water throughout the day to support vitamin C utilization and elimination
  • Consistency: For ongoing immune support, take daily rather than sporadically for best results.

Pro Tips: Vitamin C is water-soluble and not stored in the body, so regular daily intake is important. The whole food complex and probiotics in this formula make it gentler on the stomach than isolated ascorbic acid—many people can take it on an empty stomach without discomfort, though taking with food is still recommended. During cold/flu season, high stress periods, or when traveling, consider increasing to 2-3 capsules twice daily for enhanced immune support. The enzymes (bromelain, papain, protease) and probiotics provide additional digestive and immune benefits beyond vitamin C alone. Vitamin C enhances iron absorption, so if you're taking iron supplements, take them together. Smokers, those under chronic stress, athletes, and individuals with compromised immune systems have increased vitamin C needs and may benefit from higher doses.

Reviews for Wholefood Vitamin C

Whole food vitamin C contains naturally occurring phytonutrients, enzymes, and cofactors from acerola extract and whole food complex that support vitamin C function and absorption. Isolated synthetic ascorbic acid lacks these beneficial compounds. Our formula provides 500mg of vitamin C in its natural food form—the way nature intended—for superior bioavailability and effectiveness.

While oranges are healthy, getting therapeutic vitamin C levels (500-2000mg daily) from food alone is impractical. You'd need to eat 6+ oranges three times daily (18+ oranges), consuming over 252g of sugar. Our Wholefood Vitamin C provides an efficacious dose without excessive sugar, making it a practical modern solution for immune support and antioxidant protection.

Our Wholefood Vitamin C combines 500mg of Vitamin C from acerola extract with a 900mg Whole Food Complex Blend and 60mg of probiotics and enzymes—giving you the phytonutrients and enzymes found in natural food sources. It's Non-GMO, Vegan Certified, and free of allergens, artificial colors, and preservatives for clean, effective immune support.

The 60mg Probiotic and Enzyme Blend (500 million CFU) supports gut health and enhances nutrient absorption. Since vitamin C absorption occurs in the intestines, healthy gut function is essential for maximum utilization.
